That's the best news I have heard in such a long time
Its wonderful to know that the new owner is a member of DP so that Aly can have regular updates
What a great day!

Hallelujah!!! Such wonderful news - it's so good to know that the gorgeous girl has found such a loving home, & that Aly can cease worrying about her.
Well done to everyone who put such effort into locating this very special little lady.

Amidst all the euphoria surrounding the brilliant news about Sheyla, let's please spare a thought for Mary in Ireland who was instrumental in rescuing her in the first place, & who must have been out of her mind with worry about what had happened to the lass.
Mary & Aly are Superstars in the field of hound welfare who never court publicity for themselves whilst working tirelessly for the animals they love.
I raise my glass to them both, trusting that their wonderful work will continue for many years to come, & that they won't be deflected from their chosen path by the recent incident that has caused us all so much heartache.
Cheers ladies!

I'd echo that, and also raise my glass to Wendy Jordan, who spent a couple of hundred quid of her own money putting adverts in papers, and going to and from the pound Shayla was gifted in to, and poster and leaflet dropping tirelessy..... she also works tirelessly for the dogs she rescues from the pounds, pretty much singlehandedly! We, and the dogs, are all so lucky that there are people like her, Mary and Aly out there!

Yes we are so lucky that there are people like Mary, Aly and Wendy around. Saw some pics of Shayla/Lily on the website Janine gave us in the first post of the thread and she is looking happy and well. Eleanorxxxxxx

Chris I tried to access the pics but it seems to be a "members only" thing.....still as long as I am secure in the knowledge that she seems to have a good home that is in contact with people that care about hounds that is enough for me.
With the kindest of regards to all Eleanorxxxxx

An update - can't believe that this awful forum is still in existence, but looking at the recent membership I think it has found its true level
So, Shayla:
Thanks to the vileness of the HA trustees, Shayla's fortunes continued to spiral downwards. She was rehomed from Llanelli Dogs Home but her new family recently decided that they didn't want her any more.
So now, she's with me: the person who traced her when she was lost - though it would choke Barney to acknowledge that.
And she will stay with me until a truly great home comes along. And if nothing comes that matches the expectations of Aly and myself, she will stay here where she is loved and happy.
I don't imagine anyone reads this rubbish site anymore but I fell on it by accident tonght and wow - did it bring back memories!
Just thought I'd update and show how the bad luck goes on and on for that poor hound.
Shayla, you are worth more than anything you have had in life so far.
